An Opportunity for the Recovery of Points
Program Description
CMS Math Night School gives students, who failed their quarter math class, the opportunity to recover math points for the failed quarter. Students are expected to complete all assigned Night School iReady lessons and each associated lesson assessment. Completion of course work is the student's responsibility and must be completed outside of the school day. The school will not hold in-person sessions for work completion or send reminders to complete work. A progress report will be sent to each student at the halfway point of the course. Each Night School course ends on the last day of the following grading period with the exception of quarter 4, which ends on June 30.
Students will be assigned iReady lessons aligned to the quarter standards and will be given a personalized document to track their progress. The number of lessons is dependent on the student’s grade level. Students should average between 12-15 hours to complete the course. The final quarter grade is dependent on the completion of all assigned lessons and the successful completion (a passing grade) of the lesson assignments. Upon successful completion of Night School, a student’s Night School Grade will be averaged with the student’s quarter math grade, though final grades will be no less than 70.
